Advice Issued For: Dunkeld, Mirranatwa, Victoria Valley, Victoria Point Fire Origin: 4KM NORTH OF DUNKELD Incident Name: GRAMPIANS - MT ABRUPT Issued: 17/01/14 4:28 PM This is an Advice message issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Dunkeld, Mirranatwa, Victoria Valley, Victoria Point. Firefighters have stopped the spread of the bushfire in the 4KM NORTH OF DUNKELD area and fire activity has subsided. The bushfire is now under control. Stay clear of the area as pending weather events could escalate fire activity. You are no longer under any threat. The following roads are currently closed: Victoria Valley Road, Mount Victoriy Road, Grampians Tourist Road, and Yarram Gap Road. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 18/01/14 3:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do now. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au.
