The fire at Kangaroo Ground h as stayed within containment lines overnight. Firefighters will continue to monitor and patrol the containment lines. In high risk bushfire areas the best option is to not be in the area when conditions are bad and with tomorrows Fire Danger Rating expected to be Severe residents are reminded to stay vigilant. Also, smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. Dawson Road is open to local traffic only The next update is expected by 16/01/14 5:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024.
