Advice Post: Our baby girl is 8 weeks old, me and my mother in law took her for her first needles and 6-8 week examination. She had her needles by the health visitor then we waited to be called through to the doctor, MIL stripped her to her nappy and doctor checked her heart etc, then without any warning picked our daughter up by her hands until she was sitting upright and then let go, Ivyy dropped and landed with a thud on the bed, her head went back and jolted and she screamed and cried inconsolably for 5 minutes, I had to walk away and sit down as the doctor carried on her exam, anyway, my partner has came home from work and i have been filling her in on today, she has been shocked and doesnt think this is right, so just wondering if this is standard procedure and if its happened to anyone else? TIA 😊
