Advice please. Repost. Advice please. Post anonymously. My 7 month old has had a rash on her face for almost 2 months. It is mostly around her eyes, but does show up around her nose and mouth. Since it happened on Thanksgiving we assumed it to be food related. It flares up every now and then, but has never gone away completely. She was ebf (started solids) and Im gluten, dairy, and soy free. I also eliminated nuts while trying to figure this out. The allergist found the rash odd, but we are waiting on results. We went to a dermatologist who said it looks like periorificial dermatitis and prescribed erythromycin gel. I just did a little research and it says to keep away from eyes, noses, and mouth and its safety hasnt been tested on children. We are waiting on a call back from the pedi. Does anyone have any experience with this? Are there any natural ways to treat? Thank you!
