Advice please. Repost. Anonymous please. Im needing some advice. I recently brought my 17 month old son to a highly qualified pediatric dentist. He has a hereditary dental condition called dentinogenesis imperfecta. His teeth came in clear and are lacking the proper coating making them brittle and prone to breaking easily. (He got the disorder from his father whos teeth chipped and rotted away by age 20 leaving him with dentures) He is due to get caps in less than a year, but Im wondering if there is anything that can help strengthen his teeth but is gentle to them as well. His dentist just said to keep his teeth clean, but I would like to do more than that if possible. My son is on a mostly whole food, organic diet and I give him cod liver oil and use coconut oil for toothpaste. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
