Advise on a letting agent issue please......... A friend of mine is the landlord and and has used an agent to manage it. The LL found the tenants (friends from the pub) after the LA failed to find one for 6 weeks. LL passed them on to LA to do the admin and checks etc, all paid for my the tenant or the LL at the time. They signed a 6 month contract, paid a 6 month insurance policy and then paid a % per month for 6 months. They have now decided to self manage. The LA now wants to charge £300.00 because we found the tenant for you which they clearly didnt. This cant be right surely?!?!
