Affordable #Harley Motorcycle Act For All Americans? Posted by the crew at Motorcycle Bagger magazine. The U.S. government has just passed a new bi-partisan law entitled The Affordable Motorcycle Act declaring that every citizen MUST purchase a new motorcycle, hereinafter sometimes referred to as a “Bike” by April, 2014. These affordable Harley or other motorcycle will cost an average of $14,000-$55,000 each. This does not include taxes, licensing and registration fees, fuel, storage fees, maintenance, or repair costs. This law has been passed because, until now, typically only 2% of the US population have been willing to purchase motorcycles, and even fewer could purchase a @Harley-Davidson. This new law ensures that every American can now enjoy the freedom of riding a bike and thus, reduce traffic and our collective “Carbon Footprint“. If you purchase your Harley or other bike before the end of the year, you will receive a free government approved riding goggles to make sure you are never without eye protection. In order to make sure everyone purchases an affordable motorcycle the cost of owning a bike will increase on average of 250-400% per year. This way, wealthy people will pay more for something that other “less wealthy” people dont want or cant afford to ride Harleys, Victorys or Indians. If you already have a Harley or other motorcycle, you can keep yours, period. (just kidding; no you cant). If you dont want or dont need a motorcycle, you are required to buy one anyhow. If you refuse to buy one or cant afford one, you will be regularly fined $900 until you purchase one, or face imprisonment. If you cannot (or dont want to) purchase an affordable motorcycle from a private business, you can buy a starter bike from the U. S. government affordable motorcycle exchange website. Such a motorcycle will have the basic necessities and will only cost slightly more than a similar motorcycle purchased from a private business. Plus, since your tax dollars will subsidize the purchase of a bike from the U. S. governments affordable motorcycle exchange, website, it will appear that you are getting a good deal. Failure to ride the motorcycle every day will also result in fines. This is for the overall “Good of the Country” People living in the snow belt are not exempt. Neither age, weight, experience, riding ability, nor lack of desire are acceptable excuses for not riding your motorcycle. A government review board (that doesnt know the difference between a gearshift lever and a clutch lever) will decide when, where, how often, and for what purposes you can use your motorcycle, along with how many people you can ride your bike with. The board will also determine if: No one is too old or not healthy enough to be able to use their motorcycle, and the government review board will also decide if your motorcycle has out lived its usefulness (watch out Buzz Kanter as your antique motorcycles might be in trouble here) or if you must purchase specific accessories (like a $5,000 sidecar) or a newer and more expensive Harley-Davidson Trike. Those that can afford trikes will be required to do so ... its only fair. The government will also decide the color for each trike. Failure to comply with these rules will result in fines and possible imprisonment. Government officials are exempt from this new law. If they want a motorcycle, they and their families can obtain motorcycles free at the expense of taxpayers. Union leaders, bankers, and mega-corporations with large political affiliations are also exempt from this act. This act is effective today. There may also be some shortages and rationing of Harleys and other American made motorcycles for a year or two. But, rest assured, the Government is working on that……groundbreaking on their assembly plant starts tomorrow.
