Affordable Health Care Act The cost through the marketplace is the same whether you have the assistance of an Agent/Broker/SHOP (Small Business Health Options Program Marketplaces) or choose to navigate through the system on your own. I am certified as FFM Agent/Broker/SHOP. My passion through the Marketplace is to be to help those that need assistance and need healthcare. The ACA is for those 63 years and younger and businesses with fewer than 50 employees. Open Enrollment is 10/1/2013 through 3/31/2014. The marketplace will determine all eligibility and the financial benefit for an individual, family or small business. The marketplace in each state has specific insurance carriers offering QHP’s. The marketplace is the determining gateway for credits toward premium payment or credits to be used on the calendar received tax return.
