Africa ICC pull out proposal hailed: Political analysts have welcomed the proposal by African leaders to forge ahead with plans to pull out of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and set up a regional court. African Union director of legal affairs Vincent Nmehielle says the ICC is only serving the interests of the powerful nations at the expense of weaker nations, hence the proposal by the 54-member organisation to set up its own African court.
