Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is a Chartered Christian University that integrates faith with learning to produce well rounded individuals who are able to meet challenges of their times. It is sponsored by the Church of Nazarene, an International Protestant denomination grounded in the Wesleyan holiness tradition. As part of one it’s core values “Community”, the University has partnered with Education for All Children (EFAC) a Not for Profit Organization in the USA that runs scholarship for post primary education in Kenya. Application is invited for the position of:- Vacancy: Program Manager- EFAC Project Posted: January 8, 2014 About EFAC EFAC identifies and educates bright Kenyan kids who would not afford to attend high school in Kenya. EFAC is more than a scholarship program. EFAC combines not only scholarships but mentoring and global connections so that EFAC scholars not only are educated, but have the highest potential to hold good jobs and to become the leadership of their generation in Kenya. Africa Nazarene University (ANU), assist in the selection of students, the overview and evaluation of schools, and mentoring for each student to ensure success. These are distinguishing features of our program. Currently, EFAC has 180 scholars in high school and 45 in post-secondary institutions. The Post The program manager will be reporting to the local and the US board. They will keep both boards informed of the activities and engage them in program activities. While the boards will develop the policies governing the EFAC program, the program manager shall ensure that the policies are implemented. The following describes the role played, expertise and skills required. The role Manage EFAC program in the country Coordinate local and US board meetings in the country Develop relationships with local and international organizations to establish to support of the following initiatives: EFAC program development Expertise and Skills Program management and development Demonstrated ability in building and leading teams Relationship management and networking Experience in facilitating development of linkages Good understanding of the Kenyan education system Experience in community service Report writing and presentation Intercultural communication skills Demonstrated negotiation skills Qualifications Minimum first degree in social studies, education or related area of specialization with at minimum three years’ work experience in project management, community development or education.
