Africa ‘ignores its trade deals’ Africa’s leaders repeatedly signed trade agreements and failed to implement them, Patrick Osakwe, an official in the UN Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad), said yesterday. Launching the organisation’s 2013 Africa development report in Johannesburg, Osakwe said leaders should set more realistic targets and “do more serious research” on the viability of the agreements.
