Africa is an amazing continent, with so many holiday ideas to offer. Safari is at the top of the list but there are also superb beaches to laze on and historical sites to visit. Granted, Africa is not a budget destination but it doesnt have to break the bank either. Safari and beach packages can be sourced for as little as £1500 per person, if you dont mind a bit of a gamble on the weather. June is a good time for deals to Tanzania or South Africa and the weather could still be very good. While the weather is never guaranteed, perhaps Namibia may be a better option. With its dry desert, and overall less rainfall than Eastern areas, self-driving safaris and guided tours are very popular. Ill have to admit that the thought of trekking across desert roads appeals to me and the Namibian wildlife is abundant.
