So you would think that everyone except poachers and wildlife traffickers would be happy with a White House plan to prohibit the import, export, or resale of elephant ivory here in most circumstances and including importation of antique ivory, which will close a major loophole that has enabled the U.S. ivory market to flourish. But apparently the National Rifle Association is gearing up to fight the ban.
