African Sons and Daughters is an organisation focused on the needs of the African community, with services and activities beneficial to the wider community. African Sons and Daughters (ASD) is an initiative that offers members of the public an opportunity to contribute and support worthwhile services in their community. We currently have 3 Homework Clubs in Edmonton, Stratford and Forest Gate, East London. We assist our students with their school homework and provide additional Maths, English, Science and Extra Curricular courses throughout the year. We work alongside parents to promote and encourage a wide range of parent/child homework support. We are committed to providing a safe environment so all our staff undergo a CRB/DBS check. We are currently funded by member donations and staffed by volunteers. We need support to help us to move forward, expand with more clubs and other services around London next year. We need insurance to employ Volunteer Community Outreach Workers, as well as other resources, to be able to do this and would be very grateful for any donations that will allow us to continue working for our community.
