After 16 days in captivity, five-year old Jehan Tadura y Bendong was reunited with her mother after she was rescued at Marawi City this afternoon. It can be recalled that on or about 12:45 P.M. of 16 July 2014, an abduction incident transpired at the residence of Farley Sy, owner of Crown Paper and Stationer located at Lluch Park Subdivision, Purok 5, Palao, Iligan City. Victim was identified as one (1) JEHAN TADURA Y BENDONG, 5 years old, female and a resident of same place. Investigation disclosed that four (4) unidentified male persons wearing color black mask bonnet armed with unknown caliber pistol and bladed weapon hastily entered into their premises and forcibly took the said minor victim and fled on board two (2) Honda XRM MCs color Red and Blue with unknown plate numbers. On August 01, 2014 at about 02:15 in the afternoon, Personnel of ICPO (Iligan City Police Office) led by PSSUPT GERARDO MANUBAY ROSALES, Iligan City Mayor Celso Gomera Regencia, members of Anti-Kidnapping Group and Special Action Force proceeded at Bgy Matampay, Marawi City and successfully rescued the kidnapped victim JEHAN TADURA Y BENDONG and apprehended two (2) suspects identified as one JOVEN SARIPADA, 22 years old and a resident of Rurugagos, Marawi City and one JALAL ROCO, 19 years old of Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur. The successful police operation made possible through persistent intelligence operation. The victim and the suspects were brought to Iligan City. Victim is now reunited with her mother and was subjected to medical examination while suspects are temporarily detained pending filing of appropriate charges in court.
