After 19 years of supporting NDP candidates in Toronto Centre, the NDP gay communitys time has come. The NDP needs to run a qualified LGBTQ candidate in the upcoming Provincial Toronto Centre election - this time around the membership have a qualified gay and transgender person to choose from. Federally we have LGBTQ candidates, provincially we have not since Toronto Centre was created over 19 years ago. With a Lesbian Premier, Gay Liberal MPP and World Pride 2014 - its our time. Toronto Centre really has been the battle ground for LGBTQ issues - its our home base and we need to finally see a candidate from the community on the ballot. We need to be included not just in the advocacy and policy but in the election itself - especially in Toronto Centre. Heres to a strong a competitive campaign (possibly) this Spring.
