After 3 years of horrible service, I finally was able to cancel my HughesNet satellite internet service. We were getting GTek but it turns out that they have to get over the tree line with their pole. We would need a 50 foot pole! Great! It also has to be mounted to a structure and have 4 guy wires to stabilize it. Doing anything that would potentially compromise the metal roof is not an option (to Jim-Im like all...okay! LOL!) The higher pole costs more $ too. So we popped on over to CableOne here in AP to find out if they were servicing our address yet. When we were building the house they did not but said maybe in the near future. Flash forward 3 years. The neighbor and the guy across the street has service, but they cant service our house? Im telling ya, its like living in a force field shielded dome around here! Now I am left with only using my cell phone hotspot for internet here at the house. Its slow but hey its only $10. #frugalityrules #makingitwork #countrybumpkinliving
