After 5 straight days of steady/heavy rain or threatening skies, we finally saw the sun today. I thought we were going to get the whole day in without rain but the thunder started rumbling a little before dinner time. Just as the grill was getting fired up, the rain started pouring off the roof again. Thankful I have a screened in porch that keeps me dry and cooking during the monsoon season were experiencing. On the plus side, the garden and trees should be loving this weather. Ive seen some weather reports showing that weve received 7-8 inches of rain since last Friday. Hopefully itll be pretty the next two days were booked. Heres some pictures from Monday. The skies cleared just before sunset to give way to a double rainbow and awesome sunset.
