After I had my stroke five years ago the doctor told me to pick up a hobby since I would not be able to work anymore. Well I remembered that I tried knitting once and found it very relaxing. So I started with the one stitch that I knew and knitted my oldest granddaughter a twin-sized blanket to take to school with her. Today, exactly five years to the date that I started knitting, I finished number 28!!!! I taught myself different knitting stitches by going online and printing out the instructions (with pictures). I am so proud of myself and thank God for the gift that he has bestowed upon me. I have eight more to do for family members and then if anyone wants one, they can purchase the yarn, send it to me and I go from there. I knit all sizes, i.e., crib, twin, full/queen, king and California king size blankets. I also do shawls, scarves and hats. What a wonderful way to pass the time. Thank you Lord!!!
