After Learning in Paris about 150 years ago, Viscount Eiichi - TopicsExpress

After Learning in Paris about 150 years ago, Viscount Eiichi Shibusawa designed corporation system, banking system, stock exchange, Chamber of commerce in Japanese Meiji Government, and he got to be a president of first national bank, after that he set up, invested and managed about 500 companies and 500 NPO’s, It was more than 100 years ago. He practiced his RONGO TO SOROBAN; Analects of Confucius and the abacus” principle. This means “trustworthiness (or honesty, moral, ethics, etc.) is necessary for economy being sustainable”, and also “economy (money, sales, value-added, etc.) is needed for people and company being trustworthy”. Trust and economy are two sides of the same coin. So you must not balancing between trust and economy, but you need to satisfy both at the same time and always need to try to achieve at higher level. I learned this from Professor Kazuhiro Tanaka of Hitotsubashi University in Japan.
