After a 2012 coup sent Mali into a year of war, the country has experienced an influx of international actors, including peace-keeping missions, non-governmental organizations, and donors. Due largely to these influences, several projects of transitional justice have been set into motion. However, a closer look reveals that these efforts are largely dislocated from the justice needs and desires of citizens themselves.
