After a day full of Selma Movie and theatre I have a second to breathe... IT IS A CRIME that The Academy overlooked (aka opted to not recognize) Selma with more than a couple nods!!!!! My opinion the roster should have included: Best Actor, David Oyelowo. Best Supporting Actress, Carmen Ejogo, Best Supporting Actor, John Lavelle + Tom Wilkinson, Best Director Ava DuVernay (could have been the first female African American director nominee!!), Best Original Screenplay, Paul Webb, Best Cinematographer, Bradford Young. It is such a shame that such a powerful film went unrecognized. Do yourself a favor and make it to the theater. You wont regret it and then we can talk about all the feels.
