After a day to think about it, this sums it up. What was going on was his hometown team presented itself with more potential than the team he ended the season with. The narrative is convenient and undeniable, but there is so much more in play, including how the Heat looked (or didnt look) in the NBA Finals, his relationship with Erik Spoelstra, Pat Riley and Micky Arison. Ultimately, it was a four-year marriage and LeBron got possession of his former house in the breakup. He just signed a deal for ONLY 2 years in Cleveland to keep his options open Decision 3.0 here we go again in 2016. He has an opt out for next year. If they dont win a title in 2 years does he bolt to greener pastures again? Crazy. How many times will LeBron jump ship? Not one, not two, not three, not four.... He should just sign 10-day contracts. Then we can have lots of Decisions every season. 2016 Durant becomes a free agent too. Coincidence? I think not. If LeBron doesnt win a title in the next 2 yrs hes leaving Cleveland and going to a contender. The TV contract is just a cover-up. He made up that the 4 yr contract in Miami was for flexibility and then ended up leaving them. LeBron is thinking ahead... and hes leaving if Cleveland doesnt win. LeBrons looking ahead. Cavs fans better be worried cause if they dont win now hes jumping ship. LeBron has no loyalty to anyone besides his own brand, and thats the truth. He doesnt care about the Cavs, Heat, or any other franchise he plays for. Dan Gilbert is already typing up his next letter... LeBron gave up on trying to be the greatest of all time simple as that. Id like to say hes pretty dumb but I think its more that hes a coward. Riley had it correct... NO GUTS. Only way he had a chance to be the G.O.A.T. was with the Heat. He had a chance with such a good start with them but obviously he couldnt handle the pressure and used home as his excuse. Had he gone to 5,6,7 or 8 straight Finals win or lose, it would have been hard for anyone to say LeBron wasnt greater than Jordan. Its a real shame. Jordan > James. LeBron signs 4 yr contract with Heat in 2010: Its just for flexibility purposes *Leaves* LeBron signs 2 yr contract with Cavs in 2014: Its for a TV contract Have we seen this before? Wasnt LeBron fully committed to the long term future of the Heat as well? LeBron is rightfully concerned only with the long term future of himself and his family. The rest is window dressing and anyone who buys into anything else is a mark. SO when he left the Cavs in 2010 he requested a Sign-n-Trade to the Heat so the Cavs could be left with something and they ended up with 5 draft picks.. Now he just bolts from Miami without leaving them anything but memories and rings.. Kind of Shady if you ask me. I hope the Heat rock the Cavs this upcoming season. GO HEAT NATION!
