There are many warming stations open to accommodate those who need to escape the cold: Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 2600 Avenue, Ensley Boutwell Auditorium will beopen Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Birmingham Botanical Gardens are open as a temporary shelter for motorists Alabaster, Pelham, Hoover, Shades Valley, Vestavia, Mountain Brook and Greystone YMCAs are open as emergency warming stations for stranded motorists until 6 p.m. Canterbury United Methodist Church, 350 Overbrook Road, Birmingham First Baptist Church in Sylacauga at 10 South Broadway Stephenson Hall on the JSU campus is a temporary shelter and warming area for displaced students and employees. Elliott Community Center at 2829, W. Meighan Blvd in Gadsden is open as a shelter/warming center. Salvation Army at 114 N. 11th St., Gadsden, AL Carnes Recreation Center, 102 Case Ave. SE in Attalla
