After a long day of driving truck, spending most of the day alone on the road, I really do enjoy having people to talk to about a topic that I am so passionate about. But, I know that the way I did it this past week cant work, as a driver, I cant stay up late reading messages and then survive on energy shots during the day. I dont want other truckers to drive irresponsibly, so I have to follow my own advice. Because I am usually carrying a load that puts my load weight somewhere between 75,000 and 80,000 pounds, believe me, I cant just hit the brakes and stop the truck on a dime like my bike used to (when I had my bike). I want to be a good, responsible truck driver, so no more late nights messaging for me, if I get to your message, awesome, if I dont, please, find someone else to talk to! There are SO many of us, we can all help each other! Im going to be making a commitment to a couple organizations that fight child abuse and help make a difference. Ive decided that some of the money I make is needed in more important places than where Ive been spending it... Of course I am only one person, my $50 wont go far. Imagine if we all sent 10 cents to an organization that helps a child that was hurt... Everyone from around the globe that has been affected, the victim, their friends & family, everyone, just a dime. It would be a small fortune.
