After a partly sunny and seasonably mild day, the region will see an increasing chance for showers and a few thunderstorms tonight. The best chance of rain will be near and north of the Interstate 90 corridor, though areas to the south could still see some spotty rainfall. Cooler temperatures in the 50s will briefly return to the region on Sunday, but then an extended warm-up looks to take hold with highs in the 60s and 70s expected through the upcoming work week. The warmest day should be Wednesday, when temperatures are likely to warm into the 80s across parts of northwest Iowa. The midweek warmth will be accompanied by a chance of thunderstorms.
