After a reasonable ponder, our heroine decided the first most - TopicsExpress

After a reasonable ponder, our heroine decided the first most reasonable approach would be to ask the Moddesses for guidance. After consulting the Disney handbook, the Moddesses gave our heroine a series of gifts: Tara gave her a general direction in which to travel to find the Comment Cruncher’s origins; Michelle gave her graphs and charts documenting the levels of danger she would face; Shannon provided morning meditations to boost her strength of will and body; Stephanie gave her a spell for easy rest and evening peace, Naomi provided alternative weekend routes and contemplations; and Jeannette gave her comments to tide her over on the journey: SO WEEK ONE WE BROKE ASHLEY, WEEK TWO WE BROKE ROSS. Ross Bauer: I dont think I can vote for this one. Its a conflict of morals BASICALLY EVERYTHING BRIAN WROTE REGARDING “THE BLACK CAULDRON” WAS PRETTY INTERESTING, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST BASIC SUMMARY OF WHY WE ALL RE-RECOGNIZED “ALADDIN” AS AWESOME. NEVER IGNORE BEAUTIFUL MYTHOLOGY. Brian Bickers: The Horned King is definitely frightening, but I feel that hes frightening because hes like that in the books. I was a huge fan of the Prydian books (Black Cauldron is the second in that series), and I feel like the movie version missed all the beautiful celtic mythology and general creepiness of the novels. THIS IS HOW EVERYONE SHOULD FEEL WATCHING “THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE.” IT’S LIKE SHERLOCK BUT WITH CUTE MICE. Kate Casey AND they live below 221 B Baker Street, at 221 1/2 Baker Street. The Great Mouse Detective is genius. I didnt appreciate it as a child but I watched it earlier this year and it is straight up GOLD. OH, KATIE. SOMEONE GET THIS GIRL A GIANT EAGLE TO RIDE ON, PLEASE. Katie Grzesiak: Just having a little Rescuers party down here by myself. Hope youre all enjoying Mulan up there, with no gifs. Seems like a sad place to be. SHIRA HAS BEEN PREPARING FOR THIS BRACKET FOR YEARS, AND IT SHOWS. Shira Hecht: there will probably be more essays, but heres one i prepared earlier (from the 2008 movies roundup of the paper i worked on then. wall-e was our number one movie of the year DUH): 1. Wall-E Pixar has an astounding track record, but with this latest story of a lonely robot, it surpassed even itself. The dialogue-sparse story of a robot trash compactor, his lonely life on Earth, and his adventures with a female compatriot who resembles an iPod, Wall-E packs a gravitas unique to the genre. It’s a rare animated film that feels blissfully alive and active. The animation simply astounds, like a slowly floating bubble of colors never found in our ordinary lives. Wall-E reflects ourselves back to us, in glowing, shiny, hyper-real color. To watch this robot gaze up at the sky is to feel the endless empty grandeur of being a sentient being in a vast world; to see him point out the Milky Way to his sleeping “girlfriend” is to understand love. The grandiose hyperbole is justified: Wall-E is why we go to the movies in the first place. Live, love, and comment, Bracketeers!
