After a visit to a mortgage advisor this morning I am starting to wonder how people get on the ladder these days. We are attempting to re-mortgage but it turns out if you arent earning 100k plus or own 99% of your property its probably not worth the bother of trying! Perfect credit rating, good income etc and we can borrow less than we borrowed 8 years ago when we bought our first house when Marks income was more than half what it is today! How does that work!!? Fortunately HSBC are still proceeding with our application and I am hoping for a positive outcome but I am not holding my breath!
