After all the wonderful posts on my FB page about Pagan Pride (and my involvement) last Sunday, I decided that I would just let their words speak for themselves. But before any more time passes, I do want to say a huge Thank You to David Knight for the original invitation (and warmest of welcomes on my arrival), strongly supported by Mike Stygal and Ashley Mortimer; and for all the practical help given by Caz Pindsvin Galloway. Thank You also to my friend Matt Arnold who came along for the day especially to give me practical support (he spoke at PP last year and was very well received), which meant a huge amount to me. Also to my sister Carol Linfield who came all the way up from Solihull to spur me on. Thanks also to all those who were not able to be there as part of the day itself but said they were with me in spirit and thinking of me and supporting from afar (you know who you are!). The whole event was quite wonderful, with close to 2000 people there I believe. To think that the basic work of planning and organising is done by only 10 people (with simply more volunteers helping out on the day itself) and everything done and given for free. The actual experience of speaking was simply a joy, I felt really at home. I was so well received by everyone, and since returning home have had a number of very warm responses on FB from people who were just sitting in the crowd saying how much they appreciated it. For this I am grateful. I would love to be involved in PP in some way again in the future. I would also love to see Christians and Pagans do more to build closer ties together. Well done all at Pagan Pride for making such a bold and generous step in this direction - in your gift of a space to speak, plus such a warm welcome and support - I hope that it will serve as an example to the wider Christian community. Respect and blessings to you all! In friendship and peace, Noel
