After being informed that I ll be the lead anchor for GTV and GBC24 during the NPP congress in Tamale, I started frantic preparations for the D-day, gathering all the information I could lay hands on concerning all the contestants and even some of the delegates. All preparations including flight and accommodation arrangements were all going so well until, a bout of Malaria decided to strike. You see, the point is, I spent much of my formative years in the media in Tamale and now that the opportunity has come for me to go back and serve, I wont miss it for anything. So off to the clinic I went. true to my prediction, after a series of tests, I was told it was malaria that had caused my unusual disinterest in Fufu and all other interests (if you catch my drift). I ll have to give you some anti malarial injections to stop the pain and get rid of the malaria entirely . Ok doc I agreed willingly. After a few minutes of mixing some medicines a female nurse comes up to me and says please lie on the bed and pull down your trousers Eii madam cant you do it on my shoulder? I quizzed. injections for malaria are always administered through the buttocks She insisted. So i pulled it down. My only luck was my underwear was clean. LESSON, ALWAYS wear clean underwears
