After five years, a larger Friendly’s restaurant may finally be built on Arsenal Street. But with a different owner. A New York-based group of investors purchased the local Friendly’s restaurant, along with about a dozen more in upstate New York. The corporation has approached the city about acquiring an approximately 0.65-acre vacant lot from the city at 120 Haney St. for $15,000, City Attorney James A. Burrows said.
