After having recently read on my MSN homepage on the Internet that there apparently has been considerable chatter in the glitterati world about Heidi Klum being too old to wear a bikini, I was outraged! Regardless of how one feels about Heidi Klum, personally, her life or choices that she has made, if you have seen her in a bikini lately (easy to find pictures on the internet), one has to admit that this is patently absurd. In fact, in researching this issue (as everyone who knows me, knows that I attempt to research such matters as thoroughly as possible), I found the post shared below of a photo taken by Jada Pinkett Smith of her 61-year-old mother coming out of the water in a bikini. While I will allow that there are such a thing as ladies who, for various reasons, probably should not wear bikinis in public (just as you will never see a photo of me wearing a thong unless I were to go through some near-miraculous transformation in appearance, which is not likely to happen at this point in my life), I am sick and tired of the perception that a lady has to be within a certain approved age range or of a particularly ideal body type to dare wear a bikini! It is time that we free ourselves of these disgusting strictures imposed by the socio-economic-cultural elite once and for all. Ladies, if you even think that you would look good in a bikini, then you probably would. Go ahead and do it! If someone is offended thereby, then either youre wrong and youll probably realize that, or, more likely, its their freakin problem and screw them all !!!
