After hearing about the devastating bush fires in the Adelaide Hills and the effect it was taking on the community we here at Bendigo Bank Blackwood along with the help of our customers decided to start collecting non-perishable items and funds to purchase items to send direct to the people impacted by the devastating fires. We held collections for one week and were overwhelmed with the amount of support from local businesses and community members, special mention to Goodlife Pharmacy Blackwood, Guardian Pharmacy Christies downs & Jteez hair & beauty. Thanks to our staff member Sharons hard work and all the donations we were able to supply a car load of supplies including; shower gel, tooth brushes, tooth paste, pasta & pasta sauce, toilet rolls, tissues, hand creams, sponges,detergent, face masks, games, BBL Pencils & activity books, Frisbees, canned spaghetti baked beans, deodorants, sunscreen, toys, chips, snap lock bags, soap, tea bags, tea towels.Which have now been sorted and donated to the bush fire victims to help them on the long road to recovery.
