After heartbreak yesterday over what some thoughtless, greedy people did, my faith in humanity has somewhat returned. I was notified yesterday by a council member and a police officer that more people were in the garden picking. I raced down there to find the police officer waiting for my arrival with the two women. I explained what the garden was and who it helped and that volunteers were paid in produce. Their family just moved to East Ridge after their house burned to apartments near Camp Jordan and they did not know. Well, to my delight, I looked up this morning at 8:30 while tilling and the two women (mother and daughter) were standing in the garden ready to work. Thank you Stephanie and Alea for helping in the garden and restoring my faith in people. They said that they would be back and I believe them. Still dont know who hit the garden on Saturday, but if they come back we should be able to post there pictures. Thank you to the police department for keeping an eye on it for the community. I will be back on Wednesday between 8:00 and 8:30. I hope to get the herbs planted in the raised bed in the garden. I hope to see you there.
