After many years of pain and heartache...of searching for peace and happiness, stability and contentment, I truly believe I am in that place. I am there because of J.R. Walley, the best friend I will ever have who taught me what it is to truly love The Lord with all my heart, mind, and soul. I am there because of Don and Fran L. McNabb who restored my faith in family. To Mary Elizabeth Sawyer who gave me a love of music that will never die. And, finally, to my beautiful, amazing wife Darla. She rescued my heart when it was at its lowest point. She is the love of my life, my soulmate, my dreamgirl, and a miracle, herself. The YouTube video below is a song entitled A Heart That Forgives. I played and sang this song a couple of weeks ago in church and barely made it through as I thought back of all of the times in my life that I felt Id been wronged, never realizing how much resentment I still held within my heart. This song reminds us all that in order to truly be free and to truly live we must forgive as God forgives. I have let go of the pain of the past and I am free.
