After meeting and working with Yuta Tsunoda at the Four Seasons - TopicsExpress

After meeting and working with Yuta Tsunoda at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills in the early 90s, Yuta went to work with his family and heard I left the hotel, so he called me and said Come work with me at Chaya Restaurants. I told him I could come work with him temporarily until I figure out my real career path. Well, that temporary little ob lasted almost 14 years and completely change my life. :) During this journey I had many positions (Hostess to Director of Marketing & Operations), I was allowed and encouraged to keep growing and trying new things, made mistakes and learned how to correct them, grew up, learned to be a professional, went to Japan, traveled back and forth from LA and SF, helped create and open MCafe Restaurants as the Director of Marketing (simultaneously), learned patience and learned how to be fair (Thank you Hiro san), learned to eat slowly and appreciate food on a deeper level (Thank you Shigefumi Tachibe), learned about wine (Thank you Sandy Clark), and truly learned about the art of Hospitality (Than you Yuji Tsunoda), saw my first ghost, met so many AMAZING PEOPLE (staff and guests alike) that I consider friends for life, met the LOVE OF MY LIFE and my very Best Friend Anthony Duggan, enjoyed at least a MILLION (LARGE) SPLASHES over many so many wonderfully conversations during service and after hours, and most important of all… I have the most FABULOUS MEMORIES & DEAR FRIENDSHIPS because of this AMAZING time!! My experience at Chaya taught me everything I know, and it is the reason that I get do what I do today at Lawrence Moore & Associates. With ALL MY LOVE, I raise a a glass with my left hand… SALUTE CHAYA BRASSERIE & THANK YOU!!! #amazingmemories #waytoomanysplashes #myjapanesefamily #Chayalove
