After months of transition, we are finally settled in a home!! We started out planning our move to California but after three months of effort, we left the sunny state for better opportunities in Washington. We are 50 minutes south of Seattle in Steilacoom. We are right on the water; Puget Sound! Funny thing is, Jerome and I flew here to Seattle to check out the area for a possible move nine years ago. In the middle of our trip, our son JJ threw us a surprise request- he asked us to move to North Carolina where he was stationed and preparing to leave for Iraq, to have someone close to his new bride Tara. After praying about it, we let our dream of Seattle go in lieu of North Carolina. It was a marvelous decision because soon after, our first grandchild was on the way!!!! Today, we are all here together; Jerome and I, JJ and Tara and all four of the grandchildren! Now to work getting Shameka here!
