After mowing the better part of the day, I watched the Royals game this afternoon.... Unfortunately, I witnessed probably the scariest thing I have ever seen in a baseball game. Hosmer hit a Line drive right back at the pitcher Alex Cobb, who had no time to defend..... It hit him on the side of his head... telecast said near his ear.... and his legs instantly crumbled and he fell straight to the ground, face first. He was hit hard enough that the ball came all the way back to the catcher and he threw Hosmer out at first. The pitcher was spinal packaged and taken to the hospital... and was alert.... Thoughts and prayers that Alex will be okay....
