After our encounter with Hurricane Arthur it seemed only fitting - TopicsExpress

After our encounter with Hurricane Arthur it seemed only fitting for todays Throwback Thursday to honor one of our all time favorite storm troopers, the late, great Waverly Bond. During his tenure with Tideland, Waverly served as manager of the Engelhard and Ocracoke districts. He loved all things Hyde County and the folks there loved him right back. After one major storm he made sure he gave each linemans wife a rose to thank them for holding down the fort while their husbands reported to work. (My recollection is that he even gave service rep Marge Lockyers husband a rose). Real people. Real powerful memories. What a blessing.
