After playing DYAD and Monaco: Whats Yours Is Mine over the past couple days, in addition to my experiences with games over the past year or two in general, Im now of the firm belief that indie gaming is really the best investment any gamer can make. AAA titles with huge budgets and crunching employees can be enjoyable, but theyre nothing compared to the personal, cohesively designed feel that any of the best indie games can provide. Theyre cheaper on average as well and they take so many creative risks that they constantly amaze me on a regular basis. I dont think Ive regretted a single indie game purchase thus far and thats even counting the occasional mediocre ones.
