After posting my little hair story on insta (re: my bout with scarring alopecia over the past year) I am so humbled, overwhelmed and AMAZED by all the incredible stories, experiences and emotions so many of you shared with me (both here and on instagram). I wish I could respond to each and every one of you individually, but for now, I wanted to just say that you have inspired me and amazed me so much with your bravery, honesty and beauty. Thank you for sharing your lives with me. Ive been reading your stories of brain surgery, fighting cancer, auto-immune diseases and of course, alopecia areata and the like. My struggle is nothing compared to what so many of you have faced or are still facing. But Im so glad to hear that my going public with my hair & scalp problems helped some of you to know youre not alone in your feelings of struggle and self-consciousness and pain, and I am grateful for every experience God allows me to have, if it means that it helps me to connect and encourage any of you at any point. Im not here to pretend Im perfect-Im far, far from it, on the outside and on the inside. Im glad I can share the details of my life with you guys, however deep or frivolous they may be. Thank you for caring!
