After reading a few negative posts, I wanted to share the project Ive been working on (with some exceptional people) that will bring joy and hopefully some creative excitement to Rome. I am an art teacher here in Rome, but as I tell my students: I am an artist first. I feel so passionate about the arts - I felt our community needed a boost in the area of *fine* arts. Artistree Studios & Gallery will have a grand art opening (of sorts) on September 13th from 5-8 on W. Dominick St. At this show you will be able to meet the 6 founding artists and see the incredible talent thats been hiding here in Rome. We will be hosting monthly (possibly bi-monthly) wine & design nights with our artists, classes, visiting artists, and various fine art events in the near future - we are a non-profit organization and our proceeds will be put into the completion of our studio.
