After reading some posts on this site about cracks in slow cookers I think it is time to retire mine. Even though it is about 4 years old, I have barely used it. I can see some very small cracks in the centre and heard odd popping noises after I switched it off last night. I went to a shop today to look at options and found the Sunbeam Sear Slow Cooker. Does anyone have this? I love the idea of using it like a frypan without having to put it on the stove top. You sear in the same container then switch the setting to slow cooking. Sounds great to me! Anyone got any thoughts.....
