After reflecting on last nights win over East, a few things come to mind. First, where can one find more bang for their buck than at a high school football game? Secondly, even though every phase of our program committed errors that could have cost us a win, every phase contributed in a way that , without said contribution, we would have lost. Our defense got two turnovers which our offense turned into 14 points. Our special teams contributed a huge punt return and we converted all seven points after TD. East missed one and our Defense blocked one, resulting in a two point margin of victory. Finally, our offense found a way to stay one score ahead, never surrendering the lead. Clearly, we all have things that must be corrected, but NO ONE should feel that this wasnt a total TEAM WIN! It wasnt exactly what I had in mind when I compared the effort that would be required to that of our Volleyball Teams win, but it ended up being remarkably similar, and we should all be proud of the outcome! As we look forward to Homecoming Week, we must realize that in order to make the necessary improvements, we must have a total commitment to do just that. We control our own destiny. Very few things in life provide us with an opportunity such as this, because it requires the efforts of so many, working toward one common goal. BEAT SOUTH!
