After speaking at 5 different retreats over the last 3 years (spanning San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, Detroit and Chicago), and seeing this to be true in my own life, family and church, I am ever more convinced that to the degree that we are rooted in a mindset of being the righteousness of God in Christ, we will witness Gods miraculous power displayed in increasing measure throughout our life. I have had the privilege of seeing people healed of many different ailments and physical conditions instantly and progressively. I have seen people set free from guilt and shame that have plagued them for years on end. I have seen people transform from being filled with fear and anxiety, to having a boldness and confidence wherever they go. I have seen people receive various gifts of the Holy Spirit whether by asking for it or sometimes not even asking for it. There may not be a fool-proof formula to experiencing divine miracles where we can manipulate or leverage God, but certainly there seems to be a clear common denominator. We are the righteousness OF God (2 Corinthians 5:21), and that means because of what Jesus did for us, we have a measure of righteousness equivalent to the measure of Gods righteousness. Thats a lot of righteousness. And it is given to us at no merit of our own, but entirely on the merits of Jesus. When we live in that mindset, Gods favor inevitably flows. Amen.
