After spending a gazillion hours (yes - a gazillion!!! I counted) stripping and sanding 96 coats of paint from a gorgeous cedar hope chest in an attempt to restore to all cedar - I quit and got out the paint!!!! There are brass corners and centerpiece that had been painted as well. Ugh! Why??? Why - I ask you!!!! I was able to get the paint off that part, thank goodness! I will be giving the chest a very old, distressed look WITH brass accents. Stay tuned for the piece that I have spent the most time on EVER!!! Hopefully it all comes together!
