After spending a very long day seeing doctors at the ER and the dermatologist, 2 biopsies and more blood work to come I have been diagnosed with a severe form of psoriasis. It has come on very rapidly and has spread over 75% of my body. My hands are terribly swollen and it is painful to use them. I have learned a lot about psoriasis today like I knew my dad had it but found out that I only had a 10% chance of getting, just my luck :) I learned that it is an auto immune disorder, that there is no cure and there is no way to test for it. Once all my blood work comes back I will go on a very strong drug either Methotrexate, embrel or humera none which sound fun. I will also go to the tanning bed to receive ultra violet treatment. Those who know me know that I am totally against tanning beds so this is not want I want to do either. So when you see me and I look like my face is peeling off you will now know why. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. I know its not the worst news I could have been given so thank God its not cancer or something worse. But I can always use your prayers. Love Sheila
