After spending a whole day with Dean Radin, lead scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, I was struck with something we all know but perhaps have yet to practice effectively or ethically- the power of intention. After learning about Deans research on consciousness, which proves that we can manipulate the physical world through intention alone, Im left thinking perhaps intention is EVERYTHING. All the spiritual superpowers (or siddhis) Ive experimented with over the past year begin with dropping into a right brain place and becoming One with the intention you wish to create. Whether youre calling in the whales or bending spoons or doing a rain dance or healing yourself or manifesting love, money, professional success, or the right parking space, clarity of intention is essential. What strikes me most is that, if messages can be broadcast to the culture through intention alone (and they can), the primary intention our culture broadcasts is FEAR. Fear permeates everything from the news to the way many people parent to the way corporate culture operates to the scarcity mentality many people have with regard to their personal finances or romantic lives to health care. Its no wonder so many people are plagued and limited by fear! Now that I really understand that miracles can occur when youre clear on your intention, I want to be super careful to only use these superpowers not in service to my egos desires but in service to Divine Will and the highest good. But if its Divinely aligned, I can only imagine how powerful it would be to collectively set a group intention to broadcast together a message that counteracts the fear, scarcity, and limitations of potential of our culture. For those of you who joined the live teleclass I did with Rachel Naomi Remen on Monday, we got a taste of how powerful it can be to gather tens of thousands of people together in service to a shared intention. But what if we got even more clear on our intention, turned it over to Divine Will, and used all of our siddhis to address some global problem together? Let me repeat that this isnt about personal gain or proving to our egos how powerful we are. Its about making ourselves vessels so we may be used for whatever is in alignment with Divine Will. If we were to organize something like this, what intention would you want to see us address? Be very specific with the intention you would wish to bring into being if it were indeed in alignment with the highest good. Id love to hear your opinions.
