After spending the last few months reading up on and watching - TopicsExpress

After spending the last few months reading up on and watching documentaries about food and medications, as well as trying to apply it to real life.... I can finally say... That I am officially down 60 pounds. Whaaaaaat?!?!? Yes, SIXTY POUNDS LOST, yo. Ive been having to throw away, donate, & sell clothing to big for me and have been trying to build up my wardrobe that would flatter my new figure and give me continued confidence. I am definitely loving my body more. It feels like I can do anything I want to. I can shop and truly enjoy the experience of shopping again without walking out of a store depressed. When I tell people I know that Ive lost 60 pounds lll sometime notice the looks on their faces like no you didnt. Truth of the matter is..I was at my heaviest at 240lbs. At this point I didnt want to see anyone. No family, no friends, no internet friends, no photos, not out in public. I just wanted to hide, frankly. So not many saw me at my worst. Not even sure if I have photos. Well eventually I realized this needed to stop. I was on medications that were causing me very bad weight gain, so the first thing I did was talk to my doctor and wean myself off of it. It was tough but I knew it needed to be done. I then went off and tried Crossfit for a while. It definitely helped but there was so much going on in my life with the medication withdrawals that I couldnt keep up with it all anymore so I quit for a little while. Lately Ive been making sure I get 7-8 hrs of sleep per night, I take my energy/focus meds in the morning, eat my clean meats and veggies, drink green tea at noon, and then fire away as much work as I can get done until the end of the day. Just doing the diet alone for the last few months has been HUGE in my weight loss. To be exact, just from eating right alone, has helped me lose close to 40 pounds just these past couple of months. So yeah, theres that :) STARTING WEIGHT: 240lbs CURRENT WEIGHT: 180 lbs GOAL 4 NYC (OCT): 160lbs Will I reach it??? I guess we will see!!
