After spending way too much time in the tesla forums, I read an interesting piece on the Toronto airport. They have a few (6 I think) L2 charging spots, which are usually full with EVs charging while their owners are away. The comment was that it would have been a better investment of dollars to provide 30-40 L1 stalls instead. While you are away for a day, two or even a week, trickle charge would hit the spot. Here in Calgary we have no airport charging. We should contact them and propose they deploy trickle charging year round to all the spots. This would not only support EV travelers, but also support ICE vehicle travelers who want to plug in their block heaters during cold travel days during winter. Wed all win. Our airport here in Calgary has a virtually inexhaustible budget via the airport improvement funds they collect, and they HAVE to spend the money. Same would apply to Edmonton I imagine. Any thoughts on who I should be reaching out to there?
